The ceremony was outside, and as a trained audiologist Allison knew an outside wedding mixed with there being no microphone or speaker system projecting the proceedings, some of her cochlear implant recipient guests may have a challenging time hearing the ceremony.10553.6 - updated

To assist, Allison had her officiant wear the Cochlear™ Wireless Mini Microphone during the ceremony so all her friends and family could experience the special day.

“We were sitting about eight rows, halfway back in the audience, but with the Mini Mic, it brought the experience virtually inches in front of us,” said Greg White, Cochlear Engagement Manager, Cochlear recipient and wedding guest. “It was incredible to hear every word in spite of the challenges that an outdoor wedding may have, with speech competing with the sounds of nature. Without it, we would have been working harder to piece together the more distant conversation in combination with reading lips from afar, but the Mini Mic took that effort out of listening by making it effortless.”

“I’m so pleased the Mini Mic allowed my friends to hear the proceedings of the wedding ceremony and helped them be part of our special day,” said Allison.
