Looking back on 2017, we're celebrating the phenomenal contributions of Cochlear volunteers and some of the ways they have touched other's lives.
As we enter 2018, it’s the perfect time to reflect back on memorable moments from the past year. The stories of others achieving their goal of better hearing are always the highlights of every year for us here at Cochlear. What is equally extraordinary and inspiring is the impact that our volunteers make in helping others through their outreach efforts and willingness to “pay it forward.” As we begin the new year, we want everyone to know the power of Cochlear volunteers.
Cochlear volunteers are caring, passionate, enthusiastic—and they are everywhere. Throughout the year, and from coast-to-coast, Cochlear volunteers have touched hundreds of lives in so many ways. Whether connecting with others online or in person, Cochlear volunteers understand how meaningful it is to be a source of support for others.
Through a sincere desire to create awareness and advocate
for those with hearing loss, volunteers give their time and talents to causes important to the hearing loss community. These causes include the:
- Hearing Loss Association of America’s Walk4Hearing
- Hearing Charity of America’s Celebrate Sound events
- Songs for Sound Mobile Hearing Kiosks
- Ear Community’s Picnics
Educational events sponsored by Cochlear like chapter meetings and Hearing Health Seminars provide opportunities for our volunteers to shine while helping others. Connections and Social Media volunteers reach others online with advice, support and resources to assist them on their journey. Volunteers also make an impact at national conferences such as the Association of Late-Deafened Adults, as well as speakers at clubs and organizations. Our volunteers know no limits!
We are confident that the year ahead will bring an abundance of inspiration from our giving and powerful volunteers.
